Step 2 — Server

Pair your household server

The server device runs on the separate machine that owns your encrypted AutoYou config. Once paired, it appears in your trusted device list and can exchange encrypted messages with any registered client.

Make sure the AutoYou backend server is running on your server machine at localhost:8001 before pairing.

Step 3 — Client

Register a client device

Register this browser as a trusted client. A libsodium keypair is generated locally — only the public key is stored. Alternatively, sign in from the iOS or Android app and register there.

Keys are generated in this browser with libsodium. The private key never leaves this device.

Import account into another client

Use this payload to import the same household account into a native AutoYou client (iOS, Android, macOS, Windows). Keep it private.
